The deaconesses of Berne bought a chalet in Petit-Saconnex (a neighbourhood in Geneva) to establish a home for the elderly: the Kermont is born.
In an act of good faith, three inhabitants of Grand-Saconnex (municipality of Geneva) created the organisation of Nouveau Kermont (New Kermont) with the aim of replacing the old care home of Kermont
To the parishioners of Petit-Saconnex's disappointment, the homes were sold and the Kermont's doors had to close.
Unable to find adequate space in Petit-Saconnex, the organisation finally acquired a plot in Chambèsy.
Nouveau Kermont opened its doors and the first residents settled into the home.
A new extension was built. Since then, the building is constantly being renovated and improved in order to meet the highest expectations.
